Meet our Staff - Community Grounds and Residential Services


Steve Tennant
Manager, Community Grounds
West Virginia University, B.S. 



Steve has been employed with Colleton River since May 2006.  He holds a B.S. degree from West Virginia University.  He oversees all aspects of landscape maintenance at our Club.  His employment background includes Belfair Plantation, Owner/Operator of Tennant Landscape Service, Davis Landscape, Melrose Club on Daufuskie Island and Oxford Development Co. in Parkersburg, WV.

Steve is married to Mary “Jane” and has two sons, a daughter and a beautiful granddaughter.  He strives to continually enhance the natural beauty of our community and work towards making Colleton River the best in the nation.  He also wishes to become recognized as one of the best grounds managers in the area and to implement management ideas for the industry.  He is a licensed Pesticide Applicator, a certified Pool Operator, a member of South Carolina Landscape and Turfgrass Association, Turfgrass Council of North Carolina, South Carolina Nurserymen’s Association and Island Beautification Association.



 Ed Grecco
Assistant Manager, Community Grounds
Canton State College, A.B.M.

Ed joined the team at Colleton River in August of 2011.  He holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Canton State College.  His work experience includes commercial landscape construction and maintenance, as well as pool design and construction.  His focus is to continue managing personnel and operations for Community Grounds at Colleton River Plantation Club. 

Ed has been a local resident for over 20 years.  He is married to Trina Grecco and has two sons, Thad and Ty, and a dog named Trigg.





 Dan Lake
Manager, Residential Services
United States Marine Corps

Dan was employed by Colleton River in late December 2006.  By the end of 2007, he achieved the Employee of the Year award due to his excellent service.  He came to us from Belfair Plantation after ten years of service.  He briefly left Belfair to work for another company where he learned irrigation repairs and installations.  He worked his way up the ranks by starting as a laborer, Assistant Landscape Manager, and now Residential Services Manager.
 

Dan served with the VMFA-115 Silver Eagles in the United States Marine Corps.  He was an F/A-18A Hornet Plane Captain and Engine Mechanic.  During his service with the Marines, he spent time in Iwakuni, Japan; Darwin, Australia; Osan, South Korea; Eilson AFB in Alaska Wake Island, Guam; and Hawaii.

Dan is married to Joanna and they currently reside in Ridgeland, SC.  His focus is to continue providing Colleton River Plantation with his utmost service in landscaping and irrigation projects and daily jobs.  He is a licensed Pesticide Applicator, a certified Pool Operator, and a member of South Carolina Landscape and Turfgrass Association.
